Gusto D’Italia Mix Premium Seasonings is a favorite for BBQ Brian. It all started with smoking and grilling store bought sausages. Once he learnt how to make his own sausage Italian was the first one he wanted to do. There are usually spicy Italian sausages or ones that are more mild and even sweet. In any case, the key element to an Italian sausage is the fragrant fennel seed. This often is described as smelling like licorice.
The most common application will be to mix into ground meat such as beef, pork, lamb, turkey or chicken to make burgers, meatballs or meatloaf. However we’ve found plenty of flavor for this mix with pasta sauces and even sprinkling on pizza for extra flavor!
Season roasted vegetables with this spicy mix or dissolve into butter for your steak dip.
